Victoria West Homes

Victoria West, commonly called 'Vic West', is a historic neighbourhood in the city of Victoria.  It's located just west of downtown, across the Victoria Harbour and bordering on the Township of Esquimalt.
Victoria West is an eclectic community, nestled on a peninsula surrounded by water and connected to Victoria’s downtown core by two city bridges and the Selkirk Trestle. For those seeking a neighbourhood that boasts superior accessibility to both Victoria’s downtown core and the tranquility of West Coast waterfront, Victoria West may be the ideal urban oasis for you.
The neighbourhood is diverse, from its modern harbour-front condominium complexes such as the Railyards and Dockside Green, to historic hilltop homes and single family residences to the east. The community is growing rapidly, especially in areas adjacent to the waterfront. Vic West is a small enough community to build familiarity with local vendors, but big and open enough to also afford privacy.
Townhouses and condos for sale in Victoria West typically sell quickly due the district’s convenient proximity to the downtown core and its public transportation routes that go directly to the University of Victoria campus. Victoria West is part of Greater Victoria School District No. 61 which includes 27 Elementary Schools, 10 Middle Schools and 7 Secondary Schools.
Victoria West encompasses some family-friendly elements including walkable access to parks, playgrounds, outdoor areas, waterfront parks, orchards and green spaces. There is also easy access to public transit, shops and restaurants and the downtown core via foot, bicycle, car or bus with the ability to retreat to your comfortable condo or townhouse in a quieter cache that’s just far enough away from the bustle and noise of the downtown core. Stroll or cycle to Downtown Victoria or West Shore via the paved Galloping Goose trail which is a busy pathway for recreation and commuting from the city centre through Vic West to areas to the north over Portage Inlet.
There are many townhouses and condos for sale which are situated along Tyee Road, Songhees Road, Kimta Road and Maitland Street with views of Victoria’s working harbour.
A few of  Victoria West's  most iconic condo and townhouse developments are the Bayview Place and Roundhouse Community (Contemporary condo living and retail space with ocean views), Dockside Green (A mixed-use, eco-conscious residential community consisting of townhouses, condominiums, and commercial-use space), The Railyards (Brand new, waterfront, and relatively affordable one and two bedrooms, and two bedrooms + den condominiums and townhouses) and Parc Residences (Built in 2004, contemporary and pet-friendly, one, two and three bedroom condominiums overlooking a small park and conveniently located next to Victoria West’s Westside Village retail district).
