Sooke

Located west of Victoria, Sooke became incorporated in 1999. Sooke is divided into distinct areas known as Sooke Village, East Sooke, Broomhill, Saseenos, Sooke River, Whiffin Spit and "the West Coast Road". There is a growing business section in the downtown core, good schools, sports facilities and an excellent museum. Sooke is a popular tourist area boasting the world famous "Sooke Harbor House". It also has a local government wharf and private marinas.

Sooke is just under 40km to Victoria and 20km to Langford which makes an ideal balance of the city convenience and a rural lifestyle.  Sooke offers a more affordable side to the real estate market.  It's a growing community which offers a mix of young new subdivisions, sided with older homes on larger lots and many custom waterfront homes. The most populated neighbourhoods of Sooke would be Saseenos, Milne’s Landing, Sunriver Estates, Broom Hill, Whiffin Spit, Otter Point, Spirit Bay and Kemp Lake.

Sooke is a part of the School District 62 with one high school, one junior high school, a middle school and four elementary schools.
