About Lot 8 Ruxton Island
This is one of those VERY SPECIAL waterfront properties that rarely appear on market. A fine arbutus grove stands over a calm white-shell beach; sandstone ridges shelter the homestead then plunge into the sea, forming a private cove and swimming opportunities. This part of Ruxton is quiet and less populated, and with calmer waters too - especially here in Whaleboat Passage across from the provincial marine park and bird sanctuary. The best site on Lot 8 is where the old cabin sits currently; a new home could enjoy 250° ocean views and a walk-out onto the ridge overlooking the property and Valdes Island. The insulated 2023 timber-frame bunkie was built to a high standard. A 3000-gal cistern catches rain and another stands ready. Arriving by boat is easy with over 500 feet of waterfront and three custom mooring buoys in deeper water (4000 lb blocks with 3/4" chain running through PVC). This property is worth a visit in any weather or any tide. It could be in your family for generations.
